Nothing like a good doomscrolling session to remind you that the world is on fire, but hey, at least your thumbs are getting a workout
Create or Die: The Artistic Middle Finger to Mediocrity
Create or become another forgettable statistic. Create like your soul depends on it—because it absolutely fucking does.
My Holiday Emoji
My Holiday Emoji - Daily Drawing 583
I've never been a 'Christmas' person
Sure, when I was a kid, but life was different back then. As an adult, the holiday season lost its luster. The commercialism, the pressure to buy gifts, and the constant barrage of awful holiday music is maddening.
I do like the lights and some of the festivities, like the German Christmas Markets (Christkindlmarkt), and some of the holiday parties.
But this time of year I’m more focused on winding down and planning the coming year. Rather than getting caught up in the holiday frenzy, I prefer to use this time to reflect on the past year and set goals for the future.
The slower pace allows me to recharge and focus on what truly matters. While I may not embrace all aspects of the traditional Christmas spirit, I find fulfillment in my version of the season - one that prioritizes personal growth, quality time with loved ones, and quiet moments of introspection.
Let's Taco Bout It
When life throws you a curveball, catch it with a taco! Stressed about work? A taco's crunchy shell is like a delicious stress ball. Relationship woes? Share a taco, and watch the love rekindle—because who can argue over a perfect blend of meat, cheese, and salsa? Feeling under the weather? A spicy taco clears the sinuses and lifts the spirit. Need to make a tough decision? Tacos offer clarity with each bite. Whether it's a celebration or a crisis, a taco (or two) brings joy, comfort, and a tasty solution to life's dilemmas. Remember, with tacos, every problem is nacho problem! 🌮
Out of Office...Forever
‘Out of Office...Forever’ Daily Drawing #543.
I’ve been working from home for over 20 years. I like to say that I’ve been training most of my life for this.

Ask anyone that knows me that the thing I hate most is being cold.
I welcome that yellow fireball in the sky and the warmth it will bring to the East Coast this week.

Love is All You Need
‘Love is All You Need’ | Daily Drawing #541
We woke to find we were gifted a box of Krispy Kreme donuts for Valentine’s Day. I ate one, got a major sugar buzz, then blasted this piece out in under 20 minutes.
With a sugar buzz i can see through walls and perform feats of strength.

One of the lawyers in the impeachment trial said they should come to his office in ‘Phillydelphia’.
I’ve lived in Philly my entire life and never heard it pronounced this way.
I Am Not a Cat
“ I Am Not a Cat” | Daily Drawing #539
A lawyer using Zoom had to let a judge know that he wasn’t a cat after inadvertently activating a face filter.
“I am here, live. I am not a cat”
Hilarity ensues.
The Mountains Are Calling (Again)
The original drawing of this phrase goes way back to the early days of my Daily Drawing series. Recently someone reached out to me to ask about getting the lettering done as a vinyl transfer, and once I looked at the original drawing I couldn’t resist redoing the piece.
Better Days Ahead
‘Better Days Ahead’ | Daily Drawing #532
It’s been quite a year.
I haven’t posted on here since March of 2020. I’d pretty much stopped doing the daily drawings, and for a good long while just didn’t draw anything at all.
I put this illustration together in May of last year. I posted it to Instagram and that was about it. I just didn’t have it in me to post here or to write anything,
It wasn’t for lack of time, since, like everyone else, I was locked down in the house.
I believe now that my ‘coping mechanism’ was to just throw myself into work. I’m lucky that I’m in a sector that experienced growth instead of decline during the early days of the pandemic. Once we found our footing and realized that we’d make it through, we went full throttle. And that’s pretty much all I’ve been doing.
Sleep, eat, work, eat, sleep.
I definitely lost a step in the last year. And not creating things for myself really started to wear on me - but like any creative will tell you - once you get into that rut, it’s hard to dig out.
It’s now February of 2021, almost one year of dealing with the pandemic. We’re also in the death grips of Winter on the east coast of the US, which isn’t helping the mood around here.
But, spring is on the horizon. There’s a vaccine (a true scientific miracle, if you ask me). It’s going to take some time. things won’t change overnight. But I try to be optimistic, take the time to make something, and look for the better days ahead.
Stay the Fuck Home
I’m still amazed at the number of people who are treating this pandemic like it’s a snow day.
14 days of social distancing and this thing would be a bad memory.
But no, we’re a selfish society, my family and friends health be damned. This isn’t ending anytime soon. Stay the fuck in the house or we’ll all be locked up until the fall.
