WXPN’s XPoNential Music Festival (formerly the ‘All About the Music Festival’…formerly known as the ‘Singer Songwrriter Festival’) is being held next weekend (July 19-22) in Wiggins Park in Camden, New Jersey. This year’s festival is 4 days, and features the festival’s biggest lineup yet.
If you’re a fan of XPN’s music and have never been, I’d make this a no-miss event. Wiggins Park (next to the Tweeter Center) is a natural amphitheater, and with the stage right on the river, you have some nice views of the Philly skyline.
Tickets are dirt cheap: All-day tickets are just $12 for WXPN members, $20 for the general public, and kids 2-12 are just 5 bucks. The crowd is laid back and friendly, and you can bring in blankets and coolers. There’s plenty to eat and drink (nice selection of microbrews last year). To get there, take the ferry from Penn’s landing – it’ll leave you off right next to the stage, or drive across the Ben Franklin and follow the signs to the Tweeter Center.
I’m a volunteer for WXPN and I’ll be working at the festival all weekend, so give me a shout if you’re going…
