I once worked with a guy who blamed all the things that went wrong with your gadgets or computers on ‘Sunspots’. Apparently, sunspots create shifts in the amount of radiation the sun gives off, and this shift creates havoc in the atmosphere.

My friend also smoked a lot of dope, so I really don’t have a clue if this is true.

Today, I awoke to cloudy rainy day, but nothing unusual.

That was the best part of the day.

I noticed my car was leaking some mystery fluid in my driveway. Wasn’t oil, wasn’t water…so I took it to the shop.

Upon returning, I sat down at my desk. I had to work some numbers out on my trusty solar calculator that I’ve had for many years. The number wouldn’t clear. Every time I hit “CA” (Clear All) it would give me the number 8. I tried entering other numbers. A garbled mess.

Then, my friend informs me that my cell phone has been sending a text message…over and over and over. I removed the battery and SIM card and let the thing sit. Upon replacing the battery and card, my phone now tells me it’s April 10, 2005. And it’s 2:05AM.

So, not having a car, I walk to the store. Yes, you guessed it. It rained before I could make it home.

Now I’m sitting here waiting for the shop to tell me when I can pick up my car, with it’s brand-new shiny $300 worth of repairs.

Oh, and it looks like rain.

I need a do-over.
